Some time ago, I was asked by someone to write a story based on an idea that was somewhere between a sequel to a story called  "A Cat Always Lands On His Feet" by Siobhan and my M/K story "The Cat Burglar".  A 'what if--' kind of story, where instead of gaining the ability to change into a cat, as happens to Krycek in "The Cat Burglar", Tom Paris is somehow given the abilities of a cat.

Well, I don't write sequels to other people's stories, I have enough WIPS of my own as it is, But the idea caught hold and germinated. I decided hell, it's not plagiarism if you steal story ideas off yourself <g>

So this tale has absolutely NOTHING to do with Siobhan's story but a fair amount to do with ideas that I have already investigated in "The Cat Burglar".

It's also already become far larger a story than I originally intended. I  wrote the first draft with the intention that it would be a relatively short piece but now, as I'm re-writing it into postable format, it seems to be expanding horribly. Then again, all my tales have that habit these days. The devil is in the detail, as they say.

Because of that, and the fact that I'm working on a number of other stories simultaneously, I've changed my mind about posting this in its entirety and will post chapters as they get finished.

Yeah, another damn WIP but then again since I *am* working on it between other stories I guess you may as well see what's preventing me from updating other stories as quickly as you might like.
