Roommates Part 3

(by KayTrek)

Tom frantically scrambled off of the bed, and incidentally off of his First
Officer as well.  How his dream lover B'Elanna had suddenly grown a cock and turned into Chakotay he didn't know, but he wasn't about to stick around to find out.

As Tom fled, he completely missed Chakotay's puzzled, then angry, expression.  Chakotay came up off of the bed after him, rage at Paris' prick-tease actions apparent on his face.  He had been so exhausted he had just wanted to sleep, but when Paris had rubbed up against him, and then said "oh baby" and started to kiss him, Chakotay and his long-denied libido had awoken, and they both had decided not to argue when they realized that the gorgeous, naked pilot had decided to make love to them.

But now, the Angry Warrior had joined the fray as well.  He'd be damned if
Paris was going to share his bed, wake him out of a sound sleep rubbing up
against, start to explore every inch of his body, and even have the nerve to
say "Oh, God, I want you so much, baby. I love you", and then leave him
hanging, literally.

As Chakotay chased the fleeing pilot out into the outer room, Tom lurched for the door, totally unaware of his naked state, simply obeying his instincts
telling him to flee.  Just as the door slid open, Chakotay reached him,
grabbing him by the arm and spinning him up against the wall.  Walking by,
two female ensigns on the night shift giggled, enjoying the view -- Chakotay, aroused in more than one way, was a sight indeed -- and fled themselves, with enough gossip to keep the ship engaged for a week.

Tom's heart lurched as Chakotay threw him against the wall.  His head spun as his mind frantically tried to engage gears and find a way out of this
situation.  He was still bewildered why his dream lover had suddenly morphed into Chakotay, much less why he had been so turned on by Chakotay in his sleep.  Well, his dream lover had been big and muscular, but he had still thought it was a woman . . .

And all chance to engage in rational thought left as the First Officer's
hand closed over his throat.

"Paris, no fucking prick tease is sleeping in my bed.   I don't care how much
you whine, if I see you anywhere near my bed again I'll throw you out the
nearest airlock.  We could have had a good time as roommates, I'm as
adventurous as the next guy, and you aren't that bad looking.  But _no one_
comes on to me in the middle of the night and then leaves me. . . . got it?"
Chakotay shook the blonde for emphasis, and then dropped him on the floor.

"Take the couch, take the fucking bath tub, but get near me again, and you
will regret it."

With that, Chakotay stalked back into his bedroom and locked the door.
Tom sat on the floor, relieved to be alive, but very bewildered.  Finally,
he crept to the couch and curled up the best he could without even a blanket, afraid to make a sound before morning.

Meanwhile, in the Captain's quarters, B'Elanna staggered in after over
eighteen hours in Engineering.  She peeked into the bedroom, only to find
Kathryn awake, a pad on her lap.  B'Elanna glared and growled, only to be met by a weak smile.  The illness may have left the Captain barely able to stand on her own, but she still was the iron maiden, refusing to be bowed by anyone or anything, including her Chief Engineer.

"Get something to eat, B'Elanna, and then come and tell me the gossip.
I'm missing out on everything stuck in here.  Chakotay will barely tell me
ship's business, much less gossip."

B'Elanna, grinned, going to the replicator for banana pancakes, and
then came and sat cross-legged on the bed, handing Kathryn coffee.  "I
shouldn't give you that," B'Elanna complained, "but if you've been up this
long . . . "

"Only waiting on my roomie to come home," Kathryn said with a small
smile.

"Speaking of roomies, guess who got paired up?"

"Who?"  said Kathryn, leaning forward, gossip radar on full.

"Well, the boys decided the senior staff should pair up -- for
security reasons, according to Tuvok -- and Tom had the idea to draw straws," B'Elanna grinned, then took another bite of her pancakes.

"And who did he rig it to end up with?  Harry?"  Kathryn asked, eyes
sparkling.

"No, he didn't rig it, the idiot, and he ended up with Chakotay," B'El
grinned, knowing the animosity between the two would be causing sparks to fly in the cabin next door.

"Are you sure he _didn't_ rig it?"  Kathryn asked, musing as she sat
back against her pillows and sipped her coffee.  "Seems to me there is just
too much energy between those two for it just to be mutual dislike . . . "

"Hmph.  You didn't hear Tom bitching about being stuck with Chakotay.
Except he said he might get to sleep in the bed, which is more than Harry
would have agreed to," B'Elanna responded.

"Does that mean Harry and Tuvok are together?" Kathryn asked, grinning.

"Yeah, I thought Harry was going to wet his pants," B'El responded
with an even bigger grin.

"Damn, and I'm stuck in here," Kathryn sighed, knowing she was missing
way too much fun on her own ship.

"So get back on you feet so you're not -- and that starts with
sleeping," B'Elanna responded, skimming down to her skivvies and calling for
lights out, curling up on the opposite side of the bed as Kathryn finally
settled down to sleep, now that her last stray sheep had come home.
