How do you separate the truth from the lies,

When the truth is perhaps the biggest lie of all?

Although this begins four years after 'The Truth'  with the premise that Mulder and Krycek had a relationship together when they were partners, this isn't a slash story as such. The relationships within this story are many and varied and the tale itself is more accurately described as a  gen myth-arc story spanning a period of over sixty years.

During its telling, a lot of potentially dark themes are explored, including  child abuse, incest, rape and torture. Having said that, any such scenes are only recounted in conversation after the event. So I'm only warning you about them because Gaby said I had to <g>

My huge and unending thanks to Gaby for doing the Beta on this vast and complex story. Without her help it might never have been completed and it certainly would have been a hell of a lot less presentable.  Any remaining errors are my fault entirely....

My thanks also to Amazon X, with whom I spent a long afternoon in Grand Central Station, pigging out on NY cheesecake and thrashing out the more intricate details of the plot. Which is why it hopefully makes sense.

As to what the story is actually about?

Nah... not telling.... <g>

All I'll say is there's a damned good reason I posted this complete, rather than in parts. Though I usually enjoy cliff-hangers, this is not the type of story that lends itself to leaving the reader hanging.

There's absolutely no way to write a synopsis that doesn't 'spoil' the story for you. So I can only ask you to take a leap of faith, dive into it, and find out for yourselves what it's actually about....
