"Private Education" deals primarily with the aftermath of the events in "Metamorphosis", and is the story of the consequences for Skinner and Krycek after their behaviour in "Met" as well as the story of the attempted restoration of Mulder.
It starts with Mulder in the safe hands of Palmer (who is a sane and experienced Dom) - which is where he will remain for most of the story.
Skinner and Krycek, meanwhile, are not having QUITE such a nice time...
